Awarded grantees must provide a dollar-for-dollar (i.e., 100%) match to the state grant funds. Each city awarded Cal VIP grant funds must distribute at least 50% of the grant funds to one or more community-based organizations.   Eligible organizations are public or private nonprofit organizations including community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and public agencies serving youth ages 10 – 24 based in Seaside and/or serving a majority of Seaside residents.

Approximately $125,000 will be available annually to support local projects or programs which aim to reduce violence through evidence-based prevention, intervention, suppression, and/or re-entry activities.  Selection of a CBO project through this process is not a binding agreement or a guarantee for funding.
