  1. Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting

    Recreation and Parks Commission advises on matters pertaining to parks and public recreation for the advancement of sound park and recreation planning through recommending policies on recreational services, facilities; administration and development of recreation areas, aiding in coordinating recreation facilities, programs and improved recreation services; advise in the preparation of long-range recreation capital improvement program; advises regarding a plan for the development, conservation and care of urban forest resources; and informs residents regarding tree planning, tree care, and forestry programs.

  2. Traffic Advisory Committee

    The Traffic Advisory Committee (TAC) reviews all requests for traffic safety regulatory or control devices, signs, and markings. The TAC acts as an advisory board to the City Council per Chapter 2.37 of the Municipal Code. Recommendations made by the TAC are to be ratified by the City Council prior to implementation.

  4. Community Development Advisory Committee

    CDAC advises for the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and assists with evaluation and assessment of proposed and implemented programs to meet community needs at both citywide and neighborhood levels and to develop realistic goals and objectives to meet identified needs and to assist in the implementation of the CDBG program and any modifications as determined by community assessment and HUD program requirements.

  6. Planning Commission Regular Meeting

    August 28, 2019, 7:00 PM @ Council Chamber

    The duties of the Planning Commission are to prepare and periodically review and revise, as necessary, the City’s General Plan and implement the General Plan through actions such as administration of specific plans and zoning and subdivision ordinances. They also vet development proposals prior to submission to the Council.

    Cutino Park Improvement Project is nearing completion and we are excitedly counting down to the Grand Opening on August 24! Join us for a skate competition hosted by on the beach, friendly soccer and softball games, food, bounce houses, activities and more! SKATE PARK FOCUS GROUPS: There will be two focus groups for creating the skate park rules and regulations. Join us in the discussion on July 30 at 6 PM at Boys and Girls Club (1332 La Salle Ave) and August 5 at 12 PM at BJ Dolan Youth Education and Resource Center (1136 Wheeler St).
